Some drawings for development of the structure. I wanted the building to collect and direct for solar power into fuel.
Consumerism v Religion
The spire was cheekily designed to compete on the skyline with the church spire. Who's more important to daily life? Petrol or God? But seriously, can you imagine what's going to happen when oil peaks, becomes prohibitively expensive and society starts to break down unless we evolve beyond our reliance?
We may be living in the greatest period of comfort the human species will ever know, unless we find new attitudes to energy usage and materials that are sustainable. Scary thought.
